North Platte Community Team

There are more beneficiaries with employment support needs and referrals for benefits counseling than can be served within the current capacity of the Social Security Administration WIPA (Work Incentive Planning & Assistance) contract to both adequately and timely serve the beneficiaries requesting services. The North Platte Project YES! Community Team has identified a solution to this employment barrier.  This pilot has identified a goal of "getting people employed faster through increased partnership." 

Region II Benefits Planning Pilot
This collaboration within 17 counties of western NE is building capacity and improving employment services so that individuals with disabilities have the information and support they need to make the right choices in employment and managing their state and federal benefits.
