The Access Board is an independent Federal agency which ensures access for those with disabilities. Key responsibilities of the Board include developing and maintaining accessibility requirements for the built environment, transit vehicles, telecommunications equipment, and for electronic and information technology; providing technical assistance and training on these guidelines and standards; enforcing accessibility standards for federally funded facilities.

This document contains scoping and technical requirements for accessibility to buildings and facilities by individuals with disabilities under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990. These requirements apply to all areas of newly designed or newly constructed buildings and facilities and altered portions of existing buildings and facilities covered by titles II and III of the ADA.

ADATA provides national support and coordination for the 10 regional ADA and IT Technical Assistance Centers and the National Center on Accessible Information Technology in Education. This site provides extensive information regarding the ADA and a calendar of events where training on the ADA will be offered.

The Assistive Technology Partnership (ATP) is dedicated to helping Nebraskans with disabilities, their families and professionals obtain assistive technology devices and services. In addition, the website offers information on locating affordable housing and a free online service to list and find equipment for loan, sale, demonstrate or to give-away.
